Seminar Workshop for DOST Microbiological Testing Laboratories: Method Verification and Uncertainty of Measurement of Microbiological Test Methods

The DOST OneLab is happy to share the completion of the two-day Seminar Workshop for the personnel of the DOST microbiological testing laboratories on Method Verification and Uncertainty of Measurement of Microbiological Test Methods on 26-27 July 2023. It was conducted in-person at the DOST-ITDI, DOST Complex, Bicutan City and was participated by personnel doing microbiological testing from the DOST Research and Development Institutes (RDIs) and the Regional Standards and Testing Laboratories (RSTLs) of the DOST Regional Offices.

This Seminar-Workshop was co-organized by Neogen Corporation, a leading company providing solutions for food and animal safety.

Resource Speakers of the Seminar-Workshop were Ms. DeAnn Benesh and Ms. Marieson Trinidad.

Ms. DeAnn Benesh is currently the Global Scientific Affairs Manager of Neogen. She was the past President of the AOAC International and member of MicroVAL General Committee. She is a member/expert in ISO TC34/SC9/WG3 Committee on Methods. She has over 40 years of global experience in the food industry in method development, methods validation, and verification.

Ms. Marieson Trinidad is freelance consultant for microbiological testing and laboratory quality management system (LQMS) based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017. She has over 30 years of experience in microbiology and quality assurance having served in various government institutions and multi-national companies. Her expertise includes Internal Quality Audit and gap analyses for quality management systems and technical requirements, Management Systems such as ISO/IEC 17025 Awareness, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management, Measurement Uncertainty Estimation for Microbiological Testing, among others.
